DIY The Look: Kristen Stewart

Want to steal the style of Twilight actress Kristen Stewart? Here are some DIY projects to get her casual punky look:

1) Slap on casual vampy make-up like Lady Shadow's Everyday Make Up.

2) Knot some cord for an easy Barbed Wire Bracelet with Nora C.

3) Cut up a band tee with Salina's how-to for a V & Weave Top.

4) Paint some Gothic Nails like Tori.

5) Give Converse a distressed look by bleaching them with goldielocks.

6) Turn your jeans in to punky Skinny Jeans like Mia.

Who else's style would you like to DIY?

Crafty Star: Amanda Seyfried

CO+K crafters are in good company. Did you know that actress Amanda Seyfried loves to dabble in a bit of DIY?

In a recent issue of Teen Vogue, a journalist going to meet Amanda revealed:

"... her signature glamourously wavy blond hair peeking out from a mustard-yellow cable-knit cap that she made herself. In a bag on the table is a DIY dog-collar kit for Finn, her-blue eyed Australian shepherd who lies lazily at her feet."

We have made it here safely and are settling in to our new home. We can't wait to give London some CO+K craft goodness but for now, we're asking any CO+K Londoners to enlighten us with tips for good places to go, craft shops and any craft groups they know of. CO+K is in the neighborhood!

Add A Project

Glinda has added an excellent how-to for making a Button Necklace to Cut Out + Keep.

She was the first member, who wasn't me, to post a project and, luckily, she didn't find too many bugs or problems with the adder.

We want to make it perfect before we launch it properly, so if you have a project, with step-by-step photos, that you would like to add to the site, send me a message.

We're Changing

I've had so much fun running Cut Out + Keep over the last 3 years, adding projects and writing my craft blog. It's amazing how much it's grown and I've been so lucky to have had it all to myself.

From now on, Cut Out + Keep is going to be all about you. Within the next couple of weeks, we are going to launch the Project Adder, which will allow you to post your own creations, with photos and step by step instructions. However, before we can launch it properly, we need to get some willing volunteers to test it out. So, if you have a how-to project, with step by step instructions and photos, that you would like to add to the site, send us a message or an e-mail and we'll get you all set up.

Time to get crafty people!
